SEVA's
Commitment to Child Protection and Welfare
SEVA is committed to protecting
and promoting the welfare of children through a variety of community-level
programs. Operating a Child Care Institution in North 24 Parganas, SEVA
collaborates with the District Child Protection Officer, the Child Welfare Committee,
community members, and the Border Security Force (BSF) to ensure the safety and
well-being of vulnerable children. This initiative focuses on safeguarding
child rights and providing a nurturing environment that promotes holistic
development.
Throughout the year, children
from Ananda Kendra and nearby villages in the Bolpur-Sriniketan Block of
Birbhum engage in a wide range of activities. These include Children’s Day
celebrations, district-level interphase meetings on adolescent health, cultural
programs, summer camps, and dance movement therapy. These initiatives aim to
foster creativity, build confidence, and contribute to the overall growth and
development of the children, ensuring they receive the necessary support to
thrive in a safe, supportive environment.
